The ECCO team just returned from a fun trip to the windy city where the brand participated in Real Simple Nights. The magazine hosted an exclusive night of fashion, style and beauty at the 900 Shops on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Let’s just say that it was nice to see so many women out pampering themselves, taking time out of their busy lives for a night of fashion. The energy was contagious.
The event was an invitation-only celebration of the Real Simple Woman. ECCO created a shop-in-shop experience alongside beauty brand L’Oreal.
Over 400 guests enjoyed hours of shopping, wine and one-on-one attention from style and beauty experts.
The ECCO booth was a popular stop — for try-ons and for many, experiencing the ECCO brand for the first time. We were proud to show off our new women’s fall and winter collections. Guests were really happy to find both style and comfort in our styles, calling them, “shoes you can wear all day long.” Guests also shopped online via our new website.
We also revealed several new ECCO new handbags.
The Navoi Chelsea boot in Aubergine was a style favorite of the evening, while many guests raved about our new Sculptured 65 collection, especially the lace bootie, “This is the most comfortable heel I’ve ever worn. I could run in these!”
Our raffle winners were ecstatic and happily posed for a photo together.
Thank you to the team at Real Simple for having us and to all the women who stopped by the ECCO booth. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting Chicago again in the near future.
The ECCO team recently returned from a great trip to San Francisco where we hosted a fall fashion celebration for editors, bloggers and loyal customers at our store on Post Street in downtown San Francisco.
Guests were able to explore the Autumn/Winter collection and try on any pair grabbed their attention.
Upstairs, guest learned the history of the company from the ECCO team and was introduced to the design, technology and style of the Sculptured 65 collection.
The evening closed with a fashion show styled by the ECCO team along with our co-hostess Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista and Rachel Greenberg of 7x7 Magazine. Each model sported a pair of booties or boots from our Sculptured 65 collection.
Guests left with a bright yellow parting gift - a bottle of OPI nail polish in the signature Sculptured 65 collection “Smile” color.
A big thank you to the ECCO retail team, our lovely co-hostesses Marie and Rachel and our runway models for an inspiring evening of fashion!
If you’re a New York City native you’ve undoubtedly seen our friend Justin Livingston snapping pictures and posing for glamour shots all around the city. Justin is a writer, stylist, personal shopper and the creative mind behind Scout Sixteen, a website devoted to scouting the best of the best. Get to know Justin in today’s “Style File.”
ECCO: Season after season, what is one fall staple you can’t live without?
Justin: Fall seems to be a season where I layer like a modern-day caveman. I’d have to say my need-to-have item is a slim, cashmere sweater in nude color. It’s easily paired with a casual outfit but makes a dressier outfit feel beyond classic (especially with a white shirt).
ECCO: Last month you attended New York Fashion Week. Was it a whirlwind?
Justin: Fashion Week is always mayhem - but it’s a great way to scout out new and amazing trends from the leaders in the industry. I spent most of the time at shows or outside Lincoln Center (Fashion Week’s venue) admiring the trend-setters.
ECCO: Which new fall trend are you most excited to try?
Justin: I’ve really gotten into wide-brim hats lately. Something about the minimalism and rural vibe of the brim and sunken divots in the crown become an instant statement accessory.
ECCO: What is your favorite fall activity?
Justin: I spend so much time outside in the fall, but after a long day of shooting/writing, I love to come home to a warm cup of pumpkin spice cider and an independent flick on TV.
ECCO: What do you love about your ECCO shoes?
Justin: One of my favorite parts about the ECCO brand is the ease with which the shoes can adapt to my hyperactive lifestyle. My schedule is hectic and I need a shoe that can withstand the pressure of being on my feet all day. For fall, I’m sporting the Street Textile for a more casual shoe and the Pedroso Tie for a dressier option.
I would say ECCO is my seasonal “sole mate”!

The first two weeks of September are an incredibly fun time of year in New York City. Not only do you get the first hint of fall air and the chance to dust off your favorite jackets and boots, but it’s also the start of Fashion Week.
The kick off to Fashion Week is Fashion’s Night Out, which took place this year on Thursday September 6th. Fashion’s Night Out is a part of Fashion Week that everyone can participate in. The city is buzzing with energy and excitement.
We took our new Sculptured 65 lace bootie out on the town for Fashion’s Night Out and put the comfort of these heels to the test.
From events in the Meatpacking District to SoHo, it was fantastic to wear a pair of heels that looked chic but also didn’t leave our feet hurting at the end of the night.
Throughout the evening we saw ladies adjusting their heels, taking them off, changing into flats, rubbing their toes, but not us! We were comfortable and bopping from place to place with ease.
The heels are so extraordinary, you have to feel it to believe it. Explore the Sculptured 65 collection for yourself right here.
Our New York City based team member McKenna got her pair of black patent Sculptured 65 booties on Monday, just in time for Fashion Week!
Already in love with these shoes, she agreed to take us around the city with her and her booties yesterday. Here is the tale of where they went:
When I woke up I couldn’t wait to wear my new Sculptured 65 shoes. I had been thinking long and hard about what pair them with and decided on a long, flowy, green skirt. I love the idea of the patent peaking out from beneath the skirt.
I headed out of my apartment to Gregory’s for coffee. They have the best coffee. I can’t explain it, it just tastes better.
Coffee in hand I hopped on the subway. I popped out of the train station at Herald Square, which is steps from my office. It also happens to be right next door to Macy’s!
After a solid morning of calls, emails and projects I ran out to meet a fashion editor for lunch at the Breslin at the Ace Hotel. I was surprised how quickly I could walk there. No pain in these heels!
Post-lunch I put in several more hours at my desk before doing a quick outfit change for the evening. No need to change my shoes, they work perfectly with my party look.
I returned home to my apartment in SoHo roughly 14 hours after I’d left it in the morning and my feet still felt (and looked) fabulous.
I am looking forward to wearing my new booties during Fashion’s Night Out tonight!
It’s hard to believe, but it’s time to start thinking about fall fashion. Colored jeans are one of the season’s brightest trends and they pair beautifully with our Mary Ballerina flats, shown here in dark gold.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and we couldn’t be more excited. Though ECCO is a Danish company, our US team is looking forward to a day of fun, sun and celebrating.
In honor of the 4th, meet three of our favorite shoes in red, white and blue!
The Mora sandal comes in cherry red leather with a wedge heel. This sandal adds the perfect pop of color to any summer outfit.
Slip your feet into our Groove Flower Thong sandal to feel immediately transported to the beach. Shown here in white, the sandal is also available in grey metallic or in black. This sandal is currently on sale!
Part of our recently debuted Autumn/Winter styles, the Bradley Long Lace Tie sneaker comes in a denim blue as well as four other colors. This a great shoe for day to day or for weekend exploring.
How are you sporting your red, white and blue?
On June 6th, the ECCO USA team ventured out of the country with journalists from Backpacker magazine and GearJunkie.com to head to Iceland for a press trip to test ECCO’s new BIOM Hike and BIOM Trail GTX shoes, launching this fall.
In a nation where more than half of its residents believe in elves, we found ourselves biking through the town of Reykjavik, trail running by the lakes and hiking alongside one of the country’s tallest waterfalls from the Botnsá River, near Hvalfjörður.
We began the trip with a visit to the Blue Lagoon, which helps to fuel part of the country’s 99% of renewable energy. With over 130 volcanoes and 140+ caves, we also took our adventure below the earth’s surface and rounded out our trip with a dinner and hike inside a cave! Enjoy photos from our Icelandic adventure below.
Sights along the bike tour through downtown Reykjavik (left). Gearing up for a morning trail run in our BIOM Trail GTX shoes (right).
Relaxing at the Blue Lagoon! The 80 degree water temperature provided a nice reprieve from the 40 degree temperature and cool winds outside.
A true Icelandic feast! We dined on an 8-course dinner and wine pairings featuring dishes with ribs, flash fried fish, Minke whale and a dessert boat that could have served an army!
To put the BIOM Hike GTX boots to the test, we took to the mountains of Iceland to hike one of the country’s tallest waterfalls. With great outsole traction and breathable, waterproof GORE-TEX lining, our boots stood up to the test of the elements!
In the spring and summer in Iceland, the lights are always on, meaning, it never officially gets dark. So we extended our evening by taking a midnight hike through a cave. First, we dined on food from the local and renowned Chef of the Vox restaurant in the Hilton Reykjavik and then made our way through the tiny passage ways of the cave.
Do you watch the Globe Trekker travel series? The new season debuts in 2013 and you may notice cameos from a new star - our ECCO shoes!
We outfitted host Justine Shapiro with ECCO shoes for her journeys around the world.
We’ll be sure to post about the premiere date as soon as it’s announced.
Where in the world are you wearing your ECCO shoes this weekend?
