This week the ECCO team is in Fort Lauderdale, FL for the brand’s annual sales and marketing conference. As part of the week’s festivities, the team headed to the beach for a friendly sand castle building competition.
With the sun shining and the competitive spirits high, the teams dug deep (literally!) to recreate ECCO shoe styles out of sand. Take a look at their masterpieces:
Do you recognize either of these ECCO shoes?
It was a great afternoon of fun in the sun. Before heading back to the hotel the ECCO team was sure to leave their mark:
Stay tuned for inside scoop from the conference on upcoming styles and trends.
The ECCO team just returned from a fun trip to the windy city where the brand participated in Real Simple Nights. The magazine hosted an exclusive night of fashion, style and beauty at the 900 Shops on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Let’s just say that it was nice to see so many women out pampering themselves, taking time out of their busy lives for a night of fashion. The energy was contagious.
The event was an invitation-only celebration of the Real Simple Woman. ECCO created a shop-in-shop experience alongside beauty brand L’Oreal.
Over 400 guests enjoyed hours of shopping, wine and one-on-one attention from style and beauty experts.
The ECCO booth was a popular stop — for try-ons and for many, experiencing the ECCO brand for the first time. We were proud to show off our new women’s fall and winter collections. Guests were really happy to find both style and comfort in our styles, calling them, “shoes you can wear all day long.” Guests also shopped online via our new website.
We also revealed several new ECCO new handbags.
The Navoi Chelsea boot in Aubergine was a style favorite of the evening, while many guests raved about our new Sculptured 65 collection, especially the lace bootie, “This is the most comfortable heel I’ve ever worn. I could run in these!”
Our raffle winners were ecstatic and happily posed for a photo together.
Thank you to the team at Real Simple for having us and to all the women who stopped by the ECCO booth. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting Chicago again in the near future.
The ECCO team recently returned from a great trip to San Francisco where we hosted a fall fashion celebration for editors, bloggers and loyal customers at our store on Post Street in downtown San Francisco.
Guests were able to explore the Autumn/Winter collection and try on any pair grabbed their attention.
Upstairs, guest learned the history of the company from the ECCO team and was introduced to the design, technology and style of the Sculptured 65 collection.
The evening closed with a fashion show styled by the ECCO team along with our co-hostess Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista and Rachel Greenberg of 7x7 Magazine. Each model sported a pair of booties or boots from our Sculptured 65 collection.
Guests left with a bright yellow parting gift - a bottle of OPI nail polish in the signature Sculptured 65 collection “Smile” color.
A big thank you to the ECCO retail team, our lovely co-hostesses Marie and Rachel and our runway models for an inspiring evening of fashion!
While in Manhattan this summer we had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with the fabulous Julee Wilson of the Huffington Post. Julee’s energy is infectious and we couldn’t resist asking her for her fall must-haves and how she sports her ECCO shoes. Keep up with Julee’s fashion adventures on Twitter, @MissJulee.
ECCO: Season after season, what is one fall staple you can’t live without?
Julee: A dark navy trench coat. You can dress it up or dress it down. It’s literally the hardest working piece of clothing in my wardrobe.
ECCO: Which new Fall ‘12 trend are you most excited to try?
Julee: Prints, prints and more prints! I love my quintessential New York City wardrobe of chic head-to-toe black ensembles, but I’m super excited about injecting some head-turning prints into my sartorial flow. And hold onto your polka dots and stripes … I even plan on mixing them! I’m so excited.
ECCO: Tell us how your shoes inspire your work at Huffington Post.
Julee: My shoes are a constant source of inspiration. Not only do I have shoes literally displayed on my desk (on top of my computer monitor and cascading down along a side of boxes), I also change my shoes several times a day. I have about 12 pairs of shoes at work. Although I spend most of my day at my desk, depending on what kind of story I’m writing I’ll change my shoes. If I’m penning something on a celebrity’s red carpet look I’ll throw on a pair of sparkly pumps. If I’m researching a slideshow for a story on the best fall beauty products, I’ll put on a pair of sassy flats (so I can “get down” to work). Whatever it is I’m doing, I feel like my shoes should reflect my work.
ECCO: The most fun you had at New York Fashion Week?
Julee: NYFW is a lot of work, but it’s a blast. I have so many great Fashion Week memories, but I think the one that would top my list is meeting Tracy Reese during my first season at the show. Since then we’ve become good friends, but that first year was definitely a pinch-me moment. Not only did I get to meet her, but I had her sign the label of the Tracy Reese dress I was wearing. Instant heirloom!
ECCO: Which fall ECCO styles are your favorites?
Julee: The Mary Ballerina in Leopard— Every gal needs a sassy pair of flats and these definitely fit the bill. The leopard print is timeless and goes with just about everything. These shoes are proof that flats can be just as fabulous as a pump.
The Navoi Chelsea Boot in Aubergine— I love that I can count on ECCO to give me both fashion and function. These are bit higher than the collection’s average shoe, but they are just as comfortable. Plus, the rich purple color is perfect for the fall’s jewel tone trend.

Where in the world are you wearing your ECCO shoes this weekend?
Last week, on this very day, the ECCO team hosted a group of 30 fashion bloggers at Scandinavia House in New York City for an evening inspired by Nordic Chic.
Our co-hostesses, Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty and Christina Caradona of Trop Rouge, arrived impeccably dressed and ready to share their love of ECCO shoes with their guests. Here they are pictured with our North American product director, Felix Zahn:
There were Swedish meatballs and other traditional Scandinavian treats, along with a signature drink for the evening called the Copenhagen Kick. The cocktail was served warm, causing Christina to take a moment to cool hers down!
The room was decorated for the Nordic Chic affair, providing the attendees with exclusive access to the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.
Spring/Summer styles were also on display for those who wanted a new pair of ECCO shoes immediately.
A big thank you to our friends at Social PIX who provided endless fun with their photobooth! The photos fed directly onto our Facebook page so that those who were unable to join us in the room could still be part of the Nordic Chic celebration.
Finally, thank you to all of our wonderful guests. We hope you’re heading into spring feeling Nordic Chic!
Today in New York City Rebecca Daly of Real Simple magazine stopped by our Autumn/Winter 2012 preview and got the chance to try on our new Sculptured 65 collection.
After lacing the heels onto her feet Rebecca said, “This is incredible, I don’t even feel like I’m wearing a heel; I feel like I’m standing on a cloud.”
The team at ECCO has developed a special comfort shank for the heel of these shoes that keeps the heel stable, but also provides flexibility.
When you step into the shoe it feels like a very comfortable, rubber wedge. You get a soft support from the heel and the shoe is highly shock absorbent, preventing that “pounding the pavement” feeling. The Sculptured 65 heels feel like walking in a soft sneaker.
All the style of a pump with the comfort of a sneaker? Yes, please.
Rebecca or Real Simple was simply in love. You will be too when the Sculptured 65 collection hits store in September.
